We actually dynoed 691whp with a 12.7 A/F ratio at 17 psi. It took us 2 years. Yes this is a heavily modified custom KA with a custom T76 turbo. Thanks for all the help from several on here! I dont have the time slips able to post on here because i dont have a scanner. I am going to try to take them to Kinkos to get them put on a CD and put them on! Otherwise several people on here were there to witness.

Ya ain't got a slip, ya ain't got ****...

Sorry, i just love saying that...can't wait to see the dyno chart or any time slips! Has it been run at this power level? If so, what did it run? If not, what was the previous best?

at 17psi... thats a little unrealistic even with such a large turbo

I call BS...

17psi is only ~38lbs/min on a KA (assuming 90% VE, and 8.5:1 CR)...

That's maybe capable of 400rwhp, but not almost 700...!

27psi is only 50lbs/min...even that is WAY off.

Sorry, try again...newb.

Maybe with a 300 shot this would be more believeable.

List what you've got and we'll tell you if you have 700hp or not.

We made 404 WHP on the PK R&D car at 16psi. Peak was at 5700. So lets add 20whp for another pound and then if the car has cams, and they ran it up another 1500 rpms, and the back side of the turbo was more efficient, the most I could see would be maybe 450 - 475 ish.

Of course, if the motor was 3.5L now by some freak change in the laws of physics..........................

On another note, the 12.7 AF seems off also. Its well known that peak power is made at 12.5 AF so this means that this "supposed" combo would make more power then posted. And based on my experience, 12.5 AF creates too much heat in the KA and you need to throw extra fuel at it to cool things down to keep from melting the motor. I am doubting these numbers unless there was a signifigant amount of NOS. I would also suggest that IF the motor did make this power at that AF, its probably not running any more.

Ivan, what AF do you like to keep the KA under, or what's "ideal" to you?

But by all means prove me wrong, I would love to see someone making that power on a KA at only 17 psi. But I'm just not grasping how you did this. Especially without posting evidence, let alone a decent write up about it.

We tuned for 11.25 AF to quench the heat out of the combustion chamber. We dont have an EGT gauge on H&Ks car so we kept things on the extreamly safe side. The 11.25 AF wasnt too detramental to HP production.

You all are just jealous of my 997hp stock block ka with T-25 and stock exhaust. What nmakes his stats unbeleivable? O yea I remember now my stats were in my dream.Rick how high you think it would reach if your clutch wasn't slipping? Think you could hit 600?

hmmm, he could really have 700hp, but that would have to be in a really high altitude(or low), since that changes the hp of a car.like a stang i saw the other day, it had 700rwhp but it was only at 8psi, thats cause the altitude was way up.

I dont know how much it will make. 72lbers shouldnt support more than 578, but 96lbers will goto 670ish. I need the clutch, some cams, and a bigger a/r in the back. We'll see what happens, but I have a good feeling withing the next couple weeks/months as Ill be working at the shop now

TheOne--No, thats because it is a ****ing V8~!!

i think you mis-understood my point, i was sayin that high altitude affects hp in 1 way or another, the stang was just an example.+ the stang i was talkin about was on stock internals.......which would never, and i mean NEVER be able to hold 700rwhp without havin the internals changed.(internals only go to about 400 before crappin out, sometimes more, sometimes less, on a 00+ stang)

oh believe me, i 2 think this might be fake.....as the dude who says he "has" dyno sheets hasn't come around.......

i was just makin a point that elevation can affect hp.

Yeah I said that however I can almost surmise that either of his posts hold no true relevance so they would in essence be counted as 0 just like the one you posted.

For the record....I was at Vegas last week for SEMA...which was awsome by the way, and would have deleted this thread post haste had I been here to see it. There isn't any mathmatical way to get 700 anything from the KA with only 17psi. No matter what volume the turbo is putting out.

You can also make ALOT more power by going past the 12.5 AF ratio if using other then pump gas for fuel. I just didn't want that to be misread. I was making gobs of power on Alcohol at 13.1 AF's...but thats a whole new topic.

Sorry if you guys want this to continue, But I'm closing it.
