had a 3rd mechanic look at my 2003 I35;

Needs all 4 mounts: 1 transmission, 3 engine.....price parts and labor $820

Also: front suspension: control arm bushings and control arms.
outer tie rods
Passenger side axle boot is torn..........$900

Guy says mounts need replacing now. front suspension can wait.

Pissed....did not know mounts went that quick on a car with 130,000 miles.

Bushings are likely rubber. 10 years in odd weather and near a hot engine must have worn them out. I like to get quotes like yours ($820), then find the parts, buy some tools, install them myself, make places for my new tools and count the $ I saved. I hope you get your car back to being nice and reliable and hope the costs will be fair.
