So my friend Joe introduced me to this guy who has a lot of connections in SoFlo for cars, motors, shops, aftermarket parts. We were talkin about all the swaps I could do to my S12. We finally decided that we're gonna do a VQ35 swap with a 6 speed. He told me it should be easy. All we have to do is disable a bunch of sensors and junk with the Consult port and everything. I'm staying all motor, gonna run Nistune with the stock ECU. This won't start happening till the begining of winter cause I'm gonna do all my body work and interior work first.

On a side note, got stopped by a cop on my way home from his shop for my headlight being out. He was like, "wtf is this car?" lol He let me off with a verbal warning.

VQ is alot easier to fit. It's about the same size as the VG. I'm able to run my headers easier if I only have 3 primaries instead of 4.

I know they aren't cheap. I can get a VQ with a trans through my buddy Rafael for around 3-4 grand. That's with everything included and him helping me swap it.

I do like this idea a lot more than the V8 idea.

But if the VQ35 cost is a little prohibitive, don't forget about the VQ30 from the Maxima. Converting that to RWD isn't too much more work. The power is lower, but the motor is less complex and cheaper...
