Well, Logo #3 is now the official logo of the RB Group. Next step is for someone to get a CAD file drawn up of the design so that they can be made into metal emblems. I know some people were straying from the flock and working on Logo #1. I guess what we really need to do is start a fresh new thread to discuss where we go from here.

the size in the post pic isn't too bad. That's about 2.5" tall, 1.5" wide.

Yeah I am working on it, unsure if anyone else is.

I hae 3D models being made and I am looking into getting emblems made. Doesn't look terribly cheap.

Getting plastic ones injection molded is probably gonna be the cheapest for mass production. Gonna cost about $500 for the mold to be created and about $25 each, then chroming them is gonna cost another $75...

So if I can sell 500 of them its gonna look like $2 each or $4 for a set

I am looking more at selling 100 so its gonna be $12/set...(50 sets) just to break even, not counting the time put into the 3D modeling.

Realistically I am looking at about ~$20/set to pay the 3D modeller, mold making and injection molding for a production run of 100 pieces(50 sets)

Aluminum I havent even bothered with because of the expense of the raw materials and machining time required for each piece, not inc adhesice backing etc.

now would this be a 50sets and then no more or would there be the possibility of another run if there was enough demand for it

There would be another run, at a reduced rate since the mold is already made.

I think $20 per set is very fair.... Heck make it $25 per so that Jon gets a little something for his time and energy.

Looking forward to seeing them!

Yeah, $20 is reasonable for me too. Maybe we should get a list of buyers started once the 3D model of the final design is made. That way we can make sure Jon doesn't get stuck with a large pile of these emblems.

I am afraid I must require that your order be accompanied by a photo of your vehicle, photo of your RB motor and a certification that the vehicle you are sending the photos of is indeed your car....Otherwise Team Race Bread is going to be Team Whoever Bread...

This logo is to show the other RB owners who is who and to allow us to quickly recognize a fellow RB owner.

Why don't you start a new thread Jon.

Title it... "Team Race Bread Emblem Sign-up" or something like that.

Set the ground rules...

If the person wants an emblem, they have to commit to purchase and send the money when the emblems are done. They also have to participate in a roll call. They have to submit pics of their car and somehow prove it's really theirs.

A quick question.... This emblem is for those who have RB's... not just for those in Team Race Bread? Right? Have we established that? Cause I bet there are a lot of folks with RB's that would like and deserve the emblem, but dont' really have any idea what Team Race Bread is all about... just checking?

I believe it should be for RB OWNERS....

Check the new site for a thread I started there to discuss it...

I am not gonna come back to this thread anymore, sorry...
