Unless they can prove these aftermarket parts cause the problem otherwise it won't void your warranty. I wouldn't put y-pipe, intake if i was you. You will not pass smog check for sure

how do you get a CARB sticker? why wont the y pipe pass the website says it can.... which would be better to have the y-pipe or the air intake?

the ypipe is better for performance. the website says the y-pipe will pass emissions, which it will, only if the car is not subjected to a visual inspection. if the car is visually inspected, you will be failed on the spot because you have removed the third catalytic converter.

in order to get a CARB sticker, you have to check with the manufacturer of the intake to see if has an E.O. number and is CARB legal; if it is, then you need to deal with that manufacturer to get them to send you a CARB sticker. I have an Injen Short Ram Intake, and since it is CARB certified I had to send Injen pictures of the VIN# on my door as well as a picture of the exhaust installed on my car before they could send the sticker out to me.

No CARB = illegal + fail smog check (visual inspection)? You can always install your stock intake back to pass the smog check.

you won't need to smog your car for a while... just keep the old pipe and re-install it when it comes time.

To be very honest with you. If you want more power than just get a different car like G37 or BMW, etc..... All of performance mods (not including turbo) just make your car sound better and maybe just a little faster. Fujita intake would be a best choice of all because it's louder and cheaper than other intakes but I'm not sure if it's CARB approved. I heard that you don't have to smog check your car in the 1st 5 years but after that you have to do smog check every year.

no, upgraded exhausts shouldn't cause any problems unless you break the legal sound limit, which i'm confident is around 90dB.

this. from what i've heard, swapping the y-pipe isn't really all that difficult. also, the y-pipe is only an instant fail if the inspector looks under your car and sees you installed the y-pipe in lieu of the 3rd cat. if it's only hooked up to the machine and they don't even look under your car, you should be fine. ugh, try reading what i wrote before!

they already have the altima coupe, and they might be stuck in a lease agreement or locked into payments. also, not everyone has the money to upgrade on a whim like that.
