I just bought it two days ago and really like it so far. I'm on the Valefor server FYI. I think everyone who's into RPG's, especially MMORPG's, should check it out. Awesome game so far.

Nick

P.S. Anybody else played it yet? Whaddya think?

i havent bought the game, but i did get to beta test it. im not a big rpg fan but i thought it was really cool. and there are missions online (atleast there were in the beta version) and the cool part was that on some of them you have to team up with other ppl to complete the missions and also team up to gain higher experience, i think if anyone likes rpg's its almost a must have. whats stopping me from buying it, is having to pay 10 bux a month to play online...

FFXI.if i was rich and had no life i'd get it. i love my rpg's but that seems way too time consuming for me. hell, i haven't even beat FFX yet, mostly because my ex still has it with him. along with the saved file i had where i was 30min from beating the game. ARGH.

and i hate FFX-2. looks stupid. i'm annoyed. i thought it was going to be something with substance but it's just a filler with eye-candy. boo!

I play that game except I am on the Bahumut or somthing like that server. I like it but I am not too fond of paying a monthly fee.

I'm about 30 mins from beating it too. I got to the last puzzle you have to do and was like "f*** it". I honestly didn't feel like sitting there for 45 minutes looking like Travolta hopping on lit up squares to open some doors. I really didn't like the puzzles in FFX.

I just read today that they are going to re-release FF7 for PS2 with an hour long DVD...the screenshots looked AMAZING.

This game is pretty awesome I must say. The game costs anywhere from $40-60 to purchase, but comes packaged with the "Rise of the Zilart" expansion. It then costs from $10-12 (depending on how many months you pre-pay) a month to play, the first month is free.

For those of you who don't like paying monthly fees to play rpg's, in a word, too bad. That's the way all rpg's are moving and the way MMORPG's have always been. Everquest, Dark Age of Camelot, Star Wars Galaxies, Ultima Online, they've all been PTP (pay to play).

The advantage of this is that you can play online with others, which makes the game so much better. Also, they are able to have 24-hour service so the game hardly ever goes down...or if it does, it is back up within 30 minutes.

I recommend to anyone that likes the Final Fantasy series that they pick this game up and give it a shot. If you don't like after the first month, sell the game back used. That way it only cost you like $20 to try it out. I will definitely be playing quite a bit of the game.

No re-release of the game, just the hour long DVD sequal, Advent Children. Takes place 2 years after the end of FF7.

Anyone say teaser?

No, that would be Advent Children, that comes out next summer, its a movie that takes place after the events in FFVII
