Since it appears that most CA's come with 4.363/4.375 gears; if you use the USDM 240sx speedo will it be incorrect?

I guess what I am trying to see is that are the CA and KA tach's configured differently or is it in the speed sensor, or somewhere else.

I know I didn't make a lot of sense but I am basically asking if I use Doch US tach, JDM CA speed sensor, US 4.083 diff will my speedo be right?

That's why in the swap guideline you use the KA speed sensor

Yeah I know they say swap it but I think the speed sensors are the same. I haven't ever compared the CA but I am almost sure the SR and KA ones are.

BTW...I am pretty sure it is set by the knobs/switches on the back of the speedo. It seems like you can make adjustments that way.

No.

The GEAR on the speedo sensor has a different number of teeth. you can even swap that from one sensor to the other and use your 'new' sensor. The gear is what matters.

Nothing on the speedo allows for any useful adjustment, if any adjustment.

If the diff ratio is 7% taller, than your speedo will read 7% less than your actual speed. Over 60mph your speedo can vary as much as 5% anyway so I wouldn't worry about it.
