Just a quickie on the filters. Every year (on my birthday) I change the air filters, seat filters, and cabin filter. I also change the remote batteries in the DVD system and the key fobs.
We don't need another DIY on these, but I though I would post the cabin filter this year as many of us might put off changing it, thinking it's not really that important. I do a mix of driving on the turnpike, the interstate, and surface streets and I reckon that with treks to the north twice yearly I add maybe 8,000 miles per year. I live near the bottom of Florida, so the air/con runs year-round. Here is what my charcoal cabin filter looks like compared to a new one after 1 year / 8,000 miles:

As you can see, significant for beach sand (I live on A1A) and roadway dirt. The seat filters are usually grey-ish looking but no embedded dirt. The engine filters (HR engines require two filters) are usually dirty as well.
Also, as a reminder, when removing the white plastic door, remember it clips only from the passenger side. The left side is two tabs and you need to pull the door towards the passenger side while opening from the right side. I nearly broke the tabs this year because I forgot.

Air is pulled by the blower motor from above, through the filter so the air flow direction is DOWN. The air direction is DOWN and the air flow arrow should also be DOWN.

I buy my cabin filters on Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Infiniti-Pr ... d7&vxp=mtr and the seat filters from http://www.partsgeek.com/mmparts/cabin_ ... i/m35.html

I buy the seat filters from Parts Geek: http://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/2009/i ... ilter.html

I buy my air filters from Circle Infiniti on Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-GENUINE-OEM ... 6f&vxp=mtr

The batteries for the theater remote, headphones, and key fobs can be found anywhere.

**** EDIT *****
My original post indicated the air flow direction was UP. That is not correct. The air flow is downward INTO the blower and therefore, the air direction arrow on the filter should point DOWN>
Sorry for the mis-information. I also added links to the sources for my filters.

Thanks, man. I missed out on the seat filters. Turns out the previously owner of my car had a dog.......in the car.

Oh yes, pets and cabin / seat filters do not mix well. I have two Rottys, a German Shepherd, and a Golden Retriever. Each is about 100 pounds or a little over. All four at once are not allowed to ride in the M. There isn't sufficient room for them to get comfy, Tala and Scooby fight over who rides shotgun, and Rex argues with me about which of us will drive, LOL. We have an SUV that we use for the 'kids' if more than two come along.
