I'll get right to it...

I went to fill up my tank (was already half full) and the pump would keep stopping as if it were full but it wasn't.
I would have to slowly start the pump then i could allow the gas to flow into the tank at full speed for about 6 seconds and same issue.

I filled up again today this time on empty. It filled up I would say about half way and same issue occurred.

I've tried in 3 different gas stations.

Has anybody experienced this?

The only reason I know it really isn't full when the pump stops is because I already have an idea how much it takes to fill the whole tank, in my case between 56-59 dollars on premium.

you oughta register cuz' then you could search the site using keywords to find discussions on other problems folks have had just like yours:

post6314881.html?hilit=gas tank#p6314881
which also has links to other threads wrt this problem--there is a technical service bulletin on this very issue.

This is a common issue with M. I had mine fix under a service bulletin wile the car was under warranty. Still happens but not as often.

Thanks for the info.

From what it sounds like, its not a recall that should be done for free. I doubt I'll be able to go into an infiniti dealership and get this fixed for free since I have a 2006 with no warranty.

In my old vehicle (1999 Acura TL) there was a website that allowed me to enter the VIN number of the car and it would show me any recalls that were done to the car as well as the original dealer it was first purchased from. Is there a place to go to see that for Infiniti's?

Btw, that website was an officially owned Acura site.

Exactly this. Only happened once or twice since it got fixed.

Happened to me around this past Feb-May and then it stopped happening. I know that there was a Fuel gauge recall on some models in the last few months. Maybe see if that applies to you. Good luck!
