two thumbs down. you must have not heard of westerplatte:

"Repeated attacks of 3500 German soldiers were repelled by the 180 Polish soldiers for seven days. On September 7th Major Henryk Sucharski decided to surrender due to lack of ammunition and supplies and realization no help was going to come from the Polish Army."

I can't stand gettinga drink from sonic.

every ****in' thing is like a slush there...it's retarded.

they don't even have to pay for the syrup there....most of the companies give it to them just to have exclusive rights.

sorry, it just hits a nerve sometimes, kinda like the all-too-common oh the nazis just killed the jews, or neglecting the fact that even though we were under German/soviet occupation, we still had an active army based outside of Poland that was the only army to fight on all fronts of WWII, and was the 4th largest ally force during the war. Oh, and the Kosciuszko squadron, which saved britain's *** and later the polish troops didnt even get to participate in the post-war parade, and were forgotten about.

/rant. sorry TMS.

The Poles have had a lot of crap thrown their way over the course of history and have come through it proud and strong. Any thinking person knows that. History is such a skewed thing it must have multiple sources to be even close to objective. The forgotten Polish mettle under fire is a good example, for all those guys that like to disparage the "Japs" might want to remember the most decorated unit in United States military history was made up of Nisei, second generation Japanese Americans. They fought and died for the same country that looked upon them with suspicion. They liberated german concentration camps while their families were interred in camps back home.http://www.history.army.mil/to...e.htmHistory is quite slippery and hard to nail down. I am in an American history class now and the way it is being taught is decidedly different than how it was done when I was in gradeschool. I find myself less sympathetic to the Americans than I was before when it was basically Americans good / England bad.

that was a good read TMC. Whats funny is, when I used to work at Wendys, Id laugh when id hear people order, "no ice" but than as soon as I realized the true benefits of that request, Ive been hooked ever since.

Agreed 100%. I rarely get ice in my drinks for the above mentioned reasons.

mostly becuase I totally agree! I dont like ice in my drink either, especially when you cant get refills.

1. because its 75% ice and 25% drink2. Its already cold3. I hate when the ice eventually melts and makes the whole drink taste like water (not unless you actually are drinking water )4. whatever said above.5. You always need a straw if having ice, hate when you drinking out of the cup and suddenly start chocking on an ice cube!6. How its freezing your hand off if you have to hold the cup!

please fill free to add! BUT NO ICE!
MinisterofDOOM wrote:When my wife and I went on our honeymoon to Arizona, we stopped somewhere in New Mexico at a convinient store and bought two cokes in glass bottles imported from Mexico. Wonderful tasting!

In I too HATE ice in my drinks... I'd drink warm Coke before I'd drink warm coke mixed with watered down ice!

Mexican Coke ROCKS. Real sugar instead of corn syrup. Mexican Coke in a glass bottle is the king of colas.

haha, TMS posts/rants are entertaining...

I'm a NO-ICE guy too, unless free refill stations @ the fast food joint...

cause i hate it when they add 1/2 of the cup w/ ice & it "waters down" the sweet caffinated bevereage while u walk it from the counter to the table... blech

there's a picture guide for those counterpeople to fill the ice up to a certain point... hard to see in the following pic:
