So I'm one of the lucky guys that has a VQ35 that burns the "typical" 1 quart per 1k miles. I pulled out my VIAS yesterday because it had stopped working and I was going to do a VIAS delete to be cheap about it and found this.

Looked into it a little more and the PCV valve moves freely, but I'm going to be replacing it anyway just to be sure. Would putting a restrictor orifice in the engine fresh air intake help with this? Figure it might be worth it to try because I'm not going to tear into the engine over this.

You might try looking into a catch can. I've seen more than a few guys that have them on their Maxs.
