ok over the weekend i took my 03 G35 coupe out to the local (illegal) tracks (don't judge me we don't have an official track to race on) and after two races i realized my car isn't allowing me to select gears during hard runs at high RPMs.................. daily driving with a little aggression (i like to enjoy my cars) gear selection is fine but street racing and launching it feels as if either the clutch isn't gripping the flywheel enough until it catches itself, you could feel the transmission not allowing the gear but if you give it a second or "granny shift" it will take the gear which is kind of frustrating for me seeing as how i've only had the car for 2 months now...... so i was wondering if anybody had any ideas as to what it could be

P.S.
the previous owner had installed a F1 "stage 3" clutch+flywheel kit after he burnt the first clutch and damaged the OEM flywheel due to the clutch kit being "over torqued" causing it to constantly rub onto the flywheel in case this bit of information may help in deducing the problem

Thanks in advance,
Kadeem

How's your clutch fluid? This is why I went with an auto on my 09 G37...I had an 05 6mt.

The fluid should be ok...... I'll make it a point to change all my fluids when I service it the end of this month but the transmission fluid is new I just changed my clutch when I bought the car 2 months ago
