Have you continued to notice improved mileage? I could not imagine that under normal circumstances that you would do better using a flywheel that stores less energy, but I would be happy to be wrong. I am getting one made soon.

Yes, I've noticed improved mileage. I've actually began to drive a little harder (due to the increased acceleration ), but I'm still getting more MPG than before the flywheel.

I've filled up 3 times after the install and have noticed an improvement of 1.5 MPG average. Most of these are highway miles (30 miles to work), so your logic about the lighter flywheel storing less energy is correct, around town I'm probably getting less MPG.

It's got a pretty high catch point, strong pedal feel, and doesn't slip. I don't drift, but seems that this would be O.K.

Thanks. But wouldn't this burn your clutch a little at least?
Yes.

You got me sold, I have to have one. I won't pay (at least completely) the ultimate price! So I will have to make this happen soon.

I also had my Fidanza flywheel installed at the same time I got my new Exedy clutch installed. I'm just over the break in period (500+ to be safe) and it is amazing! I remember my car ('95 SE) use to be hesitant to accelerate at higher speeds. After the new Fidanza flywheel install, hesitation of acceleration at high speeds and high rpm definitely went away. I have yet to experience any chatter. As for drivability, it definitely took a few days to get used to due to the fact that start up from 0mph at first gear would take more precise balancing of the clutch. (I stalled 2 to 3 times starting from 0mph after the flywheel install )

Also, I want to validate that the stock flywheel does weigh around 26lbs and the Fidanza is 10-12lbs. (On the package sticker from UPS, it said the package weighed 10lbs. I don't know the accuracy of that.)

I thought it was 24lbs and 11. I can confirm 24, since we cut my last one down like TEP does, and it started at 24, ended at 18. It was pretty cool. But we also took it from the outside, side the car would want to die if you didn't gas it leaving the light.
