In the Ultimate Car Audio sticky at the top of this forum zerothread?id=115587 there is a lot of info on fiberglassing things. Don't take my word for it, because I may be wrong, but I think all you need to do is cut a piece of fleece cloth to go under the speaker and form it however you want it. Then you lay your resin and fiberglass, and keep building it up.

I just fiberglassed a dual 10" box I made, and it really wasn't all that hard. It's hella messy, especially when you sand it, but once you start you will catch on fast. If it's possible do it outside of the car because resin STINKS.

Good idea though, Im looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

you don't need no stinking ayjay, you got me.

You'll need to mask off the area that you want to fiberglass. By mask off, I mean two layers of masking tape.

Then you do all your fiberglassing right on that. This will give you the back of the mount/enclosure. Once that's dry you can take it out. Then you mount the ring over the fiberglass at the angle that you want it. Then you staple the fleece to the ring. Then you pull it tight and secure it all the way around the mount/enclosure. Then you mix up a large batch of resin/hardner, add about an ounce of acetone to it, then apply it to the fleece. Try to soak it completely. Then let the dry. Then put a few layers of fiberglass on top of that. Use the thumb test to see if it's strong enough. If it flexs very little it's ok, if it flexs alot you need more fiberglass.

i know how to fiberglass it i just dont know like if i mask it all out and build a box the speaker wont fit. basicly i'm just trying to make a new cover. i know i could srtetch fabric over the ring and like staple it to the trim but then once its hard i dont know how i will perminatly attach the new cover

I would say attach it using screws

Does that speaker call for an enclosure, or is it designed to run free-air?

Curious, what size is that? From the pictures it looks like an 8~10in sub with an oversized surround
