I did a search couldnt find what i was looking for. What is the down side to having a fiberglass box rather than wood? Friend of mine says they are easy to screw up and your sound ends up real bad. Im not sure what im asking.

The down side to actually having a fiberglass box? I dont think that there is one if it is made well and installed properly. It could potentially sound bad if there are any weak spots that could break or rattle. With fiberglass it is all about doing your homework to make sure that, once it is completed, you have proper airspace for the sub to work and that the install is done properly. One tough aspect of creating fiberglass boxes is building them for ported subwoofer applicaitons. It is tougher to tune the box.
