yes, all of our hatches and hoods are made using the wet lay-up process.

if you would like us to do a dry carbon process we can do it but will cost about 3 to 4 times the amount. then noone would be able to afford it.

we, just like most of the industry, use wet lay-up because its cost effective and affordable. the weight savings between a OEM part and a wet carbon or fiberglass part is huge. it is more than enough for a street car or roadracing car.if you had big sponsors and big events where second place is not an option then dry carbon would be the way to go, you would also be able to afford it, you also wouldn't be driving a 240.

heh, just give me 2 years to save for it and ill buy a dry carbon hatch

plus itd be nice to see someone with the money and the balls running one, the only S chassis i know of with significant amounts of dry carbon were the 14's run in JGTC GT300 by C-West

i like the 240 enough that id still run one if i had a lot more money, and plan to...i just dont have it now

the problem with dry carbon isn't just the cost. of the material...the tooling costs are higher as well. its not really dry though its just that the resin is held in matrix until its cooked. properly done vacuum bagging can approach dry carbon in weight but not quite get there.

yes, dry carbon would cost too much.

for now...and pretty sure for a long time, we will stick to the wet carbon.

anyone interested in these please email us at [email protected]
