yes, if your going to install the stock glass you should have a auto glass shop do it. the surface will have to be roughed up first also.spider_slayer wrote:looks good. i must ask though. is installing the rear window something that i should have a shop do since i have no suction cups?? or is there a way to install it without??
all of our hatches have seen daily use and track time. we have not had any complaints on them at all. if you are going to use this hatch for the track i sggest you purchase some lexan or at least some plexiglass. it would kind of defeat the purpose of cutting the weight of the hatch just to add it back on with the OEM glass.spider_slayer wrote:cool. thats what i thought. also do these come with any type of warranty? have you installed them on a car yet to make sure it can withstand the rigors of daily driving? what about the rigors of track days? will the stock latch bolt up as well as the cross bars that open it?
it the cf trunk for the s14 looks that good i'll almost for sure buy one.
yes, there will still be an outline for the cutout though.nismofly wrote:is that like a cutout for the 3rd brake light?
is it possible to just leave that piece there for a 3rd light delete?
its about a 25lbs difference compared without glass. We didnt weight the glass. yet. We dont have the stock glass anymore. i think the glass would weigh about 22 to 25lbs. if anyone has weighed one please me know.24DSXY1 wrote:What's the weight difference of the carbon hatch and a stock hatch?
?????black/black lace? do you mean weave? they are "black/black" 2x2 twill weave carbon. we have the hatch. the S13 trunk will be done in about 3 weeks.nismo_kings13 wrote:if you could make black/black lace carbone fiber truck and hatch id be interested
