I guess we will have to START TYPING IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE YOU WON'T BE able to hear anything.

That's nice, but all of the tech speak doesn't mean diddly to me. So you have 2 15s, 3600W of potential power, a high amp alt, and some capacitors.

Sounds like fun.

dude, enough with the arrogance. seriously. There is no need for it on these forums. LOL you say it doesnt mean diddly yet you got more out of his post than i did and I'm a technician.

Ganesh, keep us posted, change is always good, i.e WOT's new sub box, absolutely insane, yet so damn cool.

Update: I receive one sub over the weekend. I will post some picture tonight. I am still awaiting on the other sub.

For the amp P800 watts- The deal did not go through for the amp. The person did not take out the fuse before he unhook the wire. I might just keep the existing p450 and pick up another p450.

A friend of my will be building the box. He is currently busy with repair on the house and will push back the build of the box to next week. Dimension of the box will be W = 36", H = 22", D = 26 or 28". ~6.5 cube ft after port and sub.

The roll of Dynamat just arrive. (2) Ultimate (B-Quiet) - 50 sq. ft.

What the heck is a p800 and p450? Never heard of them?

What are you going to be tuning to?

Sound deadner is KEY, good job on atleast doing some.

Ive got over 175sq ft on RammMat BXT in my car, 3 layers on all doors, 2 on the floor, 2 on the roof. Its pretty quiet all things considerred

The btls are decent subs to, just VERy expensive for what you get, wel I guess you get a pretty logo and a nice sticker lol

P800 = Rockford Punch 800 amp.

I will install 100sq of Dynamat. Using B-Quiet.

I got them used and the price was good.

I will tune the box to ~35hz

Nice specs. Would love to hear how it actually sounds once completed. How do you plan to face the subs (up, forward, backward)?

Subs up port forward was the loudest in my Qx4 when I only had 2 18's (never tried port to the side though)

What's up Ganesh...how's the build coming along? I notice on your current setup you have the Kinetik HC 2400. Do you have this as an additional battery in the trunk or did you replace the stock battery with this? Also, did you do the Big 3 Upgrade?

Hi,

I finally get the work on the vehicle today.

I am doing the Big 3 and installing the alternator.

I am using the HC2400 as the main battery. I will be purchasing a HC 3800 and use it as a secondary battery.

I will post some picture up later today or tomorrow.

So far i run into two problem: The guy to build my box is not available at the moment and i have not receive my second sub.

I finish the BIG 3 w/ zero gauge wire and install 250 amps alternator. The alternator is a pain in the a** to install when compare the 96' to 99 pathfinder.

Here are some picture.

avic d3 - at 3/4 the voltage does to drop pass 14.5v

HC 2400- i still have to hook up the ground and alternator wire. As you can see i have black tape on the negative battery terminal because it touch the hood of the vehicle.

(2) 12" T1 - this will be there last 2 weeks in vehicle. 4 years and they never give me a problem.

Close up of the sub

Epic Center 150.

second amp - p450.4

Fi BTL 15"

A shot of the magnet

third amp - p450.2

I finish the installation of only the sub last week. I will post some picture of the setup soon.

I have not sound deadening the roof yet. I was to add some acoustic foam and awaiting shipment.

Thats a big box and amp.

are you going to leave the subs facing up? will it sound better in that position?

I would be pissed about the white glue thing also, i mean its a black sub where is the sense in the white glue. I don't think any one would be pleased with that.

100% sub up port back if you cant do a wall, is your box even ported? Do you happen to know the tune freq? Didnt see a port in the pics, but I doubt youre running them sealed

What happened to the sub that it needed to be reconed already? I sure wouldnt trust white glue, 5psi epoxy for sure if you intend on pushing theses subs at all

I tore out my substage today, going a big bigger myself!!

Subs up indeed in an SUV. I havn't really advertised this, but from 1997-2000, I use to be a Car audio install tech at a higher end car and home audio shop. I built a very loud Tahoe with 8 Rockford HE2 subs and I think 8 or 10 Rockford amps. all the subs were faced up, and I ported it to the back of the vehicle, with all kinds of neon and other gizmos at the owners request.

anyways with all the subs facing up, it got loud. very loud actually. If I were going to build another SUV with SPL in mind, I'd do it the same way. I'm going back home in 2 months, and I'll be there for 2 weeks, that should be just enough time for me to build up a system. when the time comes, I'll keep good notes, and I should be able to write some how too's with some of my tricks. I guess I can share some of them since I'm not in that line of business anymore.

Ganish - I think your going to have a very nice system when its all done. It seems like your taking all the right steps so far.

There is a port to the back. 5" x 20" x 22". . Tune @ around 38 hz.

When i receive the sub in the shipment, the cone around was rip. I didn't want to take a chance. I decide to recone it and the guy pay for the recone kit. It is not white glue. Just the cooler of the glue is white. Do you think i can paint the glue black?

I am thinking of adding 2 more speaker to the front.

The subs are getting a little over 4k combine and sound great. Just a lot of rattling. Over time i will make improvement as needed. I just need to finish the dynamiting the vehicle. I have already install 75sq feet.

Ya dynamats huge, Ive got over 250sq ft of Raamat in my car, only thing that rattles in the windows, cant stop that, but you cant hear it inside anyways. Biggest improvement by far was doing the roof, damn that thing madea lotta noise

You can probly hit that white glue with a sharpie or even come model paint if you have a steady hand

Never seen someone tune the BTL's so high before, have any videos??
