There is a post by a Y34 guy on installing 19" wheels. Be prepared for fender rolling.

255-40 fronts and 275-35 rear should be your target size.. Get ready to open the wallet WIDE!

Jeff,The front tires are 245/45/18, rear tires are 275/40/18. The wheels are 18x9 w/24mm offset all around. No rubbing at all. What's your wheels' offset?

I've read a couple of places that the Qs had 3.538:1 final drive. Is it actually 3.69:1?

So, just to make sure...I can swap a Q45 diff into my S14 w/ no mods besides 5 bolt axles? I'm just making sure because I'm very excited at this possibility....will make my life MUCH easier.

The Q45 ratios are

90-96: 3.538:1

97-01: 3.692:1

02: 2.764:1

03-05: 3.133:1

06: 2.937:1

I'm very dissapointed that the 06 Q doesn't use the 3.36 (3.357) from the awesome Y50 M45. Damn those Corporate Avg Fuel ratings. Oh well.

Interesting the ratio was changed on the (formerly to be discontinued) 2006 F50.

Wonder if it also has the rpm matching TCM program?

Sorry I have been off-line for a week in Hawii. I don't know the offset on these 19" rims, they are from a 2006 M45 sport, which some people have predicted that I'll have problems. Im thinking of just installing 245 or 255 45's on it or 40's. Think it will rub?

There's talk about the offset in this thread.

Yes, I know that thead quite well. I'm going to take them down to a tire store when I find a friend one and see if the rims fit. If not than they will get posted up on Craig's list or something, but I have had several people tell me they will fit no problem so it is at least worth a try. I think with 245 40 19 it will fit. I'm not going to stagger.

I still have the Y33 diff but I want to hold on to it in case I might need it later. I think it would be better buying the diff in a local junkyard because the shipping cost is hefty ($50-$75). It shouldn't be too expensive because there's not much demand for a Y33 diff.
