I SEARCHED!! ... alright now that that is out of the way...

I'm in the middle of an SR20 redtop swap in to a 1991 240sx. I have the entire front clip so there shouldn't be anything I'm missing. The car is already running but i have minor issues to work out.

My questions are as follows:

- I wired the SR/KA harness according to the Heavythrottle FAQ. On the Stock KA harness, there are 2 plugs by the passenger side headlight, on the SR harness, there are three. I cut the 3 plugs off the SR harness, and wired them to the 2 KA plugs. I did this directly according to the FAQ. I am left with 6 wires that weren't mentioned in the FAQ, what are these for, and should i leave them disconnected?

- I purchased the entire front clip, so i used the JDM s13 radiator. My question is: Why wasn't there a fan on the radiator? The stock 240sx fan doesn't seem to fit on the JDM fan shroud/radiator. And am i supposed to use the JDM fan shroud? I just want to verify how to properly set up this cooling system so i don't over heat. Am i supposed to just leave the jdm fan shroud off and buy an aftermarket fan or what?

- Last question: I wired the SR20 ECU harness to the stock 240sx dash harness. Again, i did this according to the heavy throttle FAQ and there are around 6 wires left over. According to them, this is for the check engine light? Just verifying.

Put your heads together!!

dont worry about the left over wires on your dash harness and your two plugs over by the fuse box, just cap them with butt connectors or cut them flush and seal them with eletrical tape at the end of each one and wrap it shut with eletrical tape...your s13 JDM fan should fit the shroud,if not use the old A/C electric fan from your KA and mount it to your s13 SR radiator with zip through mounting tabs(you can find it at your local autoparts store by the electric fans and cooling stuff like overflow bottles)run the hot to your fuel pump fuse in the underhood fuse box and the ground to the negative terminal to your battery...or you can mount it like that and use a temperature sensor fan controller relay deal you will also see by the electric fans and cooling stuff at your auto parts store.

just buy a permacool fan through heavy throttle for 100 bucks. It comes with a thermostat and its very nice.
