not saying the fact that their Denso is the problem. I think there not the right plug for the motor. The stupid kid that had my motor before me put these plugs in and after fixing some of the DUMB things he did to the car im starting to not trust him. And when I went to go get plugs they didn't have the type of NGK's I wanted and found no other matches for that type of plug but by a different manufacture so I just went with the old plugs that were in the car. The reason I dont trust him as he had the coil pack taped down, and the timing all the way advanced when I got it from him.

If the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose is on full manifold vaccuum all the time will it hold hte FPR open all the time? Should it be on ported vacuum(vacuum hose that controls the FPR) If so, how do you correct this?

yes and it suppose to. When you accelerate the FPR closes increasing the fuel pressure. That is how its suppose to work.

Yeah I kinda figured that, but im almost positive now that mine is 'stuck' open. What could be causing this? Its controlled by that vacuum hose correct? how can I correct it back to where it closes when I accelerate? Could this be what is fouling my plugs out so quick?

No because it is leaning out not richening up. You can determine if your FPR is working by watching a fuel gauge and snapping the throttle from idle, the pressure should climb when it loses vaccum.

Denso and NGK have been fueding like the Montagues and the Capulets since they were founded - firm competitors.

TheLocust - the plugs you bought have a .042" gap, and your manuel calls for a .028" gap? You don't want to open or close the gap on plugs <.008"> otherwise, the electrodes wont line up correctly, and you'll run through plugs like water. Let's double check the part# and see if we can find a plug with a closer gap. You can PM me with your exact make/model/year
