Fellow Pathers and QX4ers, here are some updated pics I took with my cam phone.

Sorry for the crap quality

if you look closely, you will see the running boards rusting out

I would really love to get a HID kit installed but I dont want to blind anyone and very little time to do a DIY retrofit

I will take some better pics in a week when it is all cleaned up a bit more

did you always have those wheels? their nice. 20's? As for the HID's i used to get flashed alot until i pointed my beams down, now i get good distance ahead but can see a cutoff on the road, never have issues with oncoming traffic, but of course the glare in the reflector is much brighter, but tolerable (ive gotten out of the vehicle at night and looked)

or you could add a light tint on top of it, even 20% will still give you excellent light output.

Nope, I got these a few months back, they are 20's yes

If you dont mind me asking, where did you get you HID installed and how much did it cost? I find the stock output very low

i bought a cheap kit on ebay for $80 shipped. has a HID bulb activated on low beam and a halogen bulb activated on high beam. the halogen is useless as a high beam but is awesome if your HID's are too bright/you dont want to use them.

Since i installed them nearly a year ago i had to get a new ballast (defective as soon as installed) and 1 bulb died. I used to use my HIDs all the time even during the day. The bulb went out just after winter in the spring time. I since replaced both bulbs (so the 6000k iceberg blue colour) would match. I did the fog light mod and realized, i love my yellow standalone fogs on during the day more than the HID. and I use my HID;s occasionally and my halogens primarily.

Installation is easy, the hardest part is mounting the ballasts (i didnt simply ziptie them) and removing the clip that holds the lightbulbs in place
