ok i have a few questions i couldnt find the answers for.

first can emance tune your ecu so you can run an open atmosphere bov?

and second, i posted this in the ebay thread but it gets about zero traffic so, from all the bottom mount t25 manis on ebay, some are like 60 and some are like 100, does it matter which one i go with or are they all the same just branded different?

thanks, TJG

They might be able to take fuel away on decel, however the ECU is not setup to deal with an open bov situation. Theres really not much you can do to tune for it. Always going to be a different amount of air being released out of the system.

I doubt it maters at all on the ebay manifolds. At least 90 percent of them will be made in china. A select few possibly may be made in the usa, but that doesnt really mean there any better than the Chinese ones. Very few of those bottom mount manifolds fail.

thanks man, i will just go the cheapest route on the mani then. and i emailed jason at emance too and he said he may be able to help a little bit, how bad is it venting to atmosphere? like the idleing and wanting to stall? is it unbearable?

Its really not that bad, however it can be dangerous. You will get backfires, and stumbling when pushing in the clutch from boost. The car will want to stall if your getting into it, then push in the clutch and let it idle down. Light application of throttle will keep it alive.

This can give you problem in a panic stop situation when your in boost. Brake, stall, no break booster or PS, crash.

hmm, i think i will just vent it to the atmosphere cause my na ka does that now anyway, so im pretty used to the low idle/almost stalling.

one more question, do i need a wideband if i go with emance and if so whats a good one? also, should i get a fpr?

your tune is going to be theoretical calculations based on your set-up. wideband is a must to make sure you are not running lean at any condition. all cars are different and maybe it might be rich at some point so wideband will point that out before you start getting happy with the pedal. AEM is okay, but if you top of the line then go with something like innovate xd16 something like that. injected performance sells them for 325 shipped for the xd w/lm-1 combo, you got to let them know you from NICo forum.

fpr will crapp out if you runn bigger fuel pump due to high flow. it will work but the question is for how long and by the time you know it you will stall out on the freeway and have hard time restarting the car. So better safe then sorry. save up for one.

From my experience, always run a wideband when boosting. A wideband would have saved a motor of mine by telling me i was running super rich.

Zeitronix WBO2 FTW, if you have a laptop.
