I maybe acquiring a 03 g35 and I am wondering how much and how hard will it be to make this thing run decent times in the quarter and still be a dependable car? I am going from an sr20 car to a G so.... opinions and comments would be great.

You need to tell us what your idea of decent in the quarter is.

You'll probably need some sort of forced induction. It runs low to mid 14's out of the box. I don't think bolt-ons will get you where you want to be without putting the car on a diet. Part of owning a car this nice is to have all the ameneties so you might start researching the FI.

The stock motor and drivetrain will be fine until after the 400HP (at the wheels) mark. Get a supercharger!

Best is, of course, subjective, depending on your goals, but the most reliable kit so far appears to be the Stillen Kit. Particularly, the stage 2 kit. It's not the most powerful kit, but I'd rather be safe than sorry myself. Unless you're going to be upgrading internals and such, I'd be reluctant to use any other FI currently out there. The only real downside, might be the need for one of Stillen's hoods or at least their cowl. The Stillen's stage 2 is also CARB legal if that matter to you at all...

I've read that its because owners complained about the high cost and frequency of maintenance for the pads/rotors.
