I am looking to buy a greddy e-manage system and am wondering a few things.. When you buy the system itself I know you need to purchase the software for the laptop. Is there anything else that i need to purchase in order to allow me to manipulate the fuel and air? I don't completely understand it, so if some1 could possibly explain it a little more clearly that'd be great. Thanks in advance!

First of all, the software is optional but that what makes the e-mange, its basically one small step down from a stand alone.

You don’t have to use a lap top, you may use the PRofec E-01 (replaces the lap top and software) but its 500 Americans, so might as well got the other option, especially if you have a lap-top just laying around.

You might want to get the optional injectors harness, and ignition harness, they will allow you to control ignition and individual injectors.

The e-manage works like a S-AFC, it taps into the wires going in to your stock ECU from the various sensors in your engine, and alters the signal, making your ECU do certain things, like retard timing adjust fuel delivery, air to fuel ratio and so on. You are basically controlling your ECU.

This is a good resource, they have the lowest prices and grate package deals, they don’t really go technical, but they give you the big picture.http://www.mohdparts.com/emanage/index.html

I have the Emanage and the E0-1 set up and its is extremely nice and Greddy tech support has been awesome as well. However if you are new to tunning tools especially the Emanage, I don't recommend it! I highly advice that you find someone that can work it or that can teach you. That would be wiser than having to learn on your own motor and risk blowing it to pieces.

Checkered-Member pretty much summed up everything else.

And for $900 you can have the Emanage, the E0-1 and an injector/ignition harness .....

aiight man, thanks a lot for the info, that's the problem :/ nobody around here has one..most of the people around here are honda guys, and always run rich, and don't care if they blow their motor or not. I believe I am going with the S-AFC II. It doesn't have as much adjustability as the e-manage air/fuel wise, but it will do me just fine. It also has some pretty nifty features from wut i have read. definitely need it for the atmospheric bov, and the password thing could be helpful..only thing is, when i upgrade injectors will the afc 2 realize i have upgraded? i am not real sure how that works, but to me it would seem like they would sense it..

Here stumpz... look at what I did and what some advice was to me...

I bought a preowned but never installed emanage from a guy on Zilvia for 340 shipped... that was for the emanage UNIT and the emanage ignition harness....Now there is a guy who will sell you a "clone" or basically Not greddy made USB cable for the software. The Laptop software can be found online...and the ignition harness has enough extra wires to make an injector harness since the injector harness is just a few free wires anyways.

So for about 400 I have the emanage, the Support tool cable & Software, ignition and injector control... all you need to do is BORROW a laptop while you get the tuning right.

Now thats concerning the emanage.. MovingViolation recommended to me that you get an ECU retune he go this through enjuku, I plan to as well but there are other places... as a starting point since it will remove all the limiters and set you up.. then you can use teh emanage as an adjuster.. thats what I plan to do.
