Hey guys so my air conditioning box gets stuck on heat only so idk if my ac works or not so I bought a control box from a salvaged car and I'm going to swap them out. Now I've only played with it a little bit but am I going to have to remove most of my dash pieces in order to get to the box in there already?? Also I've noticed on the "new" box I have there is a cable on the dial from hot to cold so am I going to use the one already behind the dash or is that. Even removable?? Any help would be great guys thanks a lot t

Actually, all you really need to remove is the trim for the center stack. You might be able to get it out without removing the arm rest console, but the arm rest isn't hard to remove either.

For the center stack trim, there are two or three screws at the top of the ash tray compartment. Remove the ash tray to get to them.
Once those screws are out, the bottom will come out. The top is just held in place by metal clips that will pop loose.

If you decide to remove the whole center console, there are 4 screws on the sides (one at each corner) and one beneath the cover in the center depression. You don't need to worry about getting the shift knob out of the console; with the screws removed it'll give you plenty of play to get it out of the way of the radio/AC trim.
