Hi guys, I'm joey and im saving up my money for CA swap hopefully in 2-3 months.

1.Question can you put a turbo gt287r1 im not sure about trim.

2. I'm having hard time where to buy ca18et parts. I don't wanna ebay because I don't have paypal.

3. How many ways could go route for shooting 450 hp?

my goal is 455 hp for ca18det.

for 450 hp it would be wise to have forged pistons, and upgraded rods, and cams are going to help you get there, altho not 100% necissary. Are you talking you want to put that turbo on your stock manifold? Yes itll bolt on,it uses a t25 flange, and its basically the same externally as a gt28rs. Dont forget, you must completely upgrade your fuel system too. You will need injectors, high volume fuel pump, z32 maf, youll need to chip your ecu to run the new injectors and maf or youll need to go standalone.

hope i helped, im also currently building two engines. One for now, pretty much stock minus forged pistons, and then im building another....trying to mimick norris designs setup.

For that much power you will be needing rods, pistons, big cams, big hugemongous injectors, big turbine, etc. Basically a very serious motor. If it's you first you may want to lower your expectations. You are getting very close to the place where a single error results in shredded motor.

from what i hear, the rod bolts are the major weakness in ca18det. I guess the rods can handle quite a bit of power, but the bolts stretch causing a big end failure. Also, the ring lands on the pistons are quiet delicate...thats another thing i hear failing, not only on ca18det but on sr20det as well.

just some food for thought.

sr radiator=yes but ull need long rad hoses because the sr radiator has the inlet and outlet on the wrong side.ka=yes too and is recommended as compared to the ca transmission
