hey guys, im new to the SR family, previous motor was a pretty much built KA(11.7:1, Colt cams, all running on SR 370's) but the new car has a red top in it. The car is running uber rich right now, anyone really know why? Im suppose to tune it Saturday(just a street tune) but my friend is bringing along his wideband and my car already has an SAFC. Just wondering why it is running so rich? Its a stock red top, apexi N'1 exhaust and a MBC, car is running at 9lbs.. I am a ****ing SR NEWB so I dont know what psi is safe for my setup, I'll kill myself if I blow this ***** up. Also what octane should I be running? I ran 89 on my old car and it had a raised compression. Im hoping to squeeze buy on 89 or 91 because gas is 2.60 on a good day here for 89/91(I say the slash cuz around here its unleaded, plus, premium everywhere..87 is unleaded 93 is premium and plus varies on the station you go to the price on the other hand doesnt) Just wanted to know somethings about the SR. I tried searching but really couldn't get a definite answer.. Right now the guy I bought it from said its running rich because its on t he stock fuel pump but I dont really see how that could be making it run rich at all so I think the dude doesn't know what the **** he is talking about, im thinking a boost leak maybe or something..?
