Few Loose Hoses

i looked around in my engine bay...i saw some that are by the intake manifold that have no ends but just lay there, most of them lead all the way back across the fan shroud to the AIV stuff, then another one that ends at some tank looking thing (i think it has something to do with fuel or something) right beside the driver side headlight (pop up lights)...i dont have pics so i cant point them out...none of these lines have vacuum or anything, i tried plugging them and nothing happens..so i look at it like i dont need them..,another line comes off intake manifold and dumps down to no where...im about to turbo so im looking for things to eliminate if not necessary...let me know..thanksbtw: its a 89 sohc

you should plug up the lines going to the intake as that lets unmetered air get past the maf.

theres 3 lines going across the fan shroud.

the 2 thin ones are for the aiv control solenoid. the aiv is for emissions you can eliminate the whole thing if you like. follow the metal vacuum lines running along the top of the intake manifold next to the fuel rail and cap off the open lines in the front. have fun sorting through the spaghetti.

the other is from the front passegerside of the plenum to the vacuum canister.
