I've been saving money for my RB25DET swap but I've been looking here and decided to keep the KA, both are iron block and for 375hp, the rb25det wasn't worth it but $hit and giggles. But I have a few questions about KA-T. Ceramic coating on the piston, I heard its' good and bad. Which is it? Also cryoing a engine? There's a company close to here that does it, like $100 to $200 is it worth it? And can you do the transmission? I've used the search but I can't get a clear answer. Lastly a dumb question I want to figure out the best turbo from, can someone explain turbo maping to me . Thanks

Welcome to the KA-T forum! Your first stop should be the KA-T sticky.zerothread/99647

As for reading compressor maps, here's a few links. The 1st one is linked to in the same sticky.zerothread?id=59168http://www.turbobyga ... m/....html

EDIT: Oops... posted the wrong link...

Thanks that clears alot of things for me about the turbo (I can't believe I missed it) I found some info about freezing the block, I found a razor comparison, on a LS1 chat forum. So thats a go. ?? If u ran 2 turbos one a (1) 48trim/(2) second 67 trim, on a single 4cyl. on the y pipe connection before the intercooler would turbo(2) greatly overpower turbo(1) to the point of damaging it.

um, after reading your post, i think ur asking about using 2 turbos? well it is possible but pocket wise and headache wise, u will want to run only one turbo. our engine bays dont have alot of room and the piping would be sort of nightmare. i think i've only seen it done on an SR and it was strictly for show.

point is, just run one turbo.
