OK, the time has come to put my POS back together. As some of you may recall, after I finished my headgasket swap and started the car up, I found that I had no compression in cyl #3, most likely due to one or both of the intake valves being bent. So far, I've only been able to find Ferrea valves to replace the bent ones and while they have the same dimensions as the OEM valves, they are a bit lighter. I'm looking at the Comp Plus ones, not the 1mm oversize.

If I use these valves (just 2 to replace the bent ones, mind you), will there by any issues with the remainder of the valvetrain? I really don't need to swap out all 12 intake valves for the Ferrea ones ($$$$$) and I'm running stock boost on a car that sees very light street duty and zero track time.

Anyone have any extra OEM intake valves laying around that they want to let go of for cheap?? I can't seem to find any engine importers that are willing to sell me just a couple of valves even from junked engine sets so any help would be appreciated.

-Thanks

Maybe I didn't make myself clear...I only want to buy TWO new intake valves @ ~$24 a piece for a total of about $55 shipped. I don't know anyone who's selling a longblock for that kind of money.

My question remains, if I use these 2 valves which will be different than the remaining 10 intake valves in terms of weight, will this cause any problems with the valvetrain???

I would be ecstatic to learn that Midway Parts stocks valvetrain parts for RB25 motors but last I checked, they did not nor do any US Nissan dealers that I am familiar with. Please correct me if I am wrong...

Umm, check your sources because the valves are VERY different. You can see the specs for yourself in the online Ferrea catalog at http://www.ferrea.com. FAST shows that the remainder of the valvetrain parts, aside from the springs, have the same PN's as the VG stuff but the valves and springs ARE DIFFERENT.

Give me some credit. If it was that simple, I wouldn't even have posted...

Anyone else have any thoughts?? I'll have to order the valves either tomorrow or Tuesday in order to have them in time.

Hey StricNyne, wanna sell me that OEM RB25 headgasket you've got advertised in the for sale section? I'm going to call you tonight at the number you've listed if you still have it.
