fenders... whats the difference...

1998 240sx front fenders, what's the difference between California emissions and federal... need pics if possible! I due understand it is something cosmetic.

When ordering the fenders for the 1998 240sx they asked about the emissions, I asked what does it matter? The dealership said probably something cosmetic... but not for sure... What is the difference?

I really doubt there is a difference, at least I cant think of anything that could be on the fenders that would help with emissions. Its probably just one of those things companies do to cover themselves since the state of California is so awesome and wants to push their stupid ideas into the rest of the country

The California fenders help clean the air and reduce pollution.

Anyways, there shouldn't be much of a difference at all... I don't see why it would make a difference.

How would a fender help reduce emissions? California or LEV/ULEV cars have lower emissions but that has to do with the catalytic converters and nothing with the fenders.
