I have done a little research and still have not found what I am looking for. I want to see detailed pics of the process of each. I know you can roll the fenders without other mods. What about flaring? Can you safely flare the fenders without the paint cracking? Also, from what I read, some people cut the fenders out and put in new pieces to make the flare. In other cases they just cut the stock fender and masked it with plastic fender flares.

Our Tech Page for this no longer has the pics. If someone has plenty of pics with information, we can get it turned into a new article. I would like to see three separate articles; one for each trade.

The underlying issue here is that I want to get this done. I do not want to start blind. Let's see what can be dug up and get it in here. Thanks in advance for any information gathered.

Have you done either of these to yours? If so, could you post some before and after picks.?

Your best bet is to ask One Ton Garage to post up their recommendations (hopefully he reads through here). I wrote back and forth with him to help refine my skills... I did ok on my own with my 240, but the 323iT wagon I rolled a few months ago was MUCH cleaner after speaking with One Ton (it didn't turn out to have bondo under the paint either... so that helped)... hopefully he reads through here and posts up!

Until then... an eastwood roller and basically take your time and... take your time

You don't happen to work in Smyrna do you?

Cool cool... keep an eye out for that then

...and don't worry to much about rolling/pulling... it's pretty easy, but if you're worried about it and only want to do it once (vs. owning and rolling several cars) you could always get a shop to do it for you

i dont have any detailed pictures, but i have rolled, pulled, and flared to clear some seriously offseted rims... on my 94 ls400...started out bone stock, lowered it on some tanabe springs, and first started out with some conservative offset rims... 19x10 +25 rear, super low disk w/ 245/35/19 dunlops. rolled the lip of the quarter panel flat. but as you roll, you slightly pull at the sae time... so it was a roll and slight pull.... at first...my car to the left...

then it wanst enough for me, and my other friends were getting lower offset rims than mines so i got jealous... and bought some rims...

some single digit 19x10's, maxed the camber and started to roll and pull...the quarter panel could only pull so much, then it startedt o flare out... these are 19x10 -2 by the way....

oh yeah, i did use a heat gun... paint didnt crack , at first for the roll and pull portion. when i started to flare it out, the paint along the edge started to crack but i didnt care cuz in also an autobody tech...

so here was the end product of max camber, roll/pull/flare with 19x9 +10 front and 19x10 -2 rear...top viewwith my body kit

so i got tired of the chrome fabulous rims and bought a new set of rims, double digit negatives in the rear to make it flush, also flare it out just a tad bit more...

heres my 95 q45, lowered on my old, first set of rims i had on my ls400. i had to roll the lip flat otherwise the tire wouldve gotten shreaded up. 19x10 +25 245/35/19...

i had to roll/pull it ever so slightly cuz i could hear the tire rubbing from inside the car...

after i did an alignment on it at work to make sure i dont run through tires like nothing..

this is a member from another forum... 18x11 +10, looks like he rolled the lip flat, pulled it, and slightly flared it too...

I am usually off on Sundays and Mondays. My guess is that you are off on Saturdays and Sundays. You think we could get both cars done in one day, or maybe you could get a Monday off? I'll split cost, just let me know when bro.

Oh. My. God.

All around here people drive LS400's. Bone stock and abused. If only they knew what they were missing out on!

I'm in love. Ordinarily, I have a deep seated hatred for Toyota/Lexus, but I think I may be getting over it quickly.

That will be great man. This is awesome.

Lasoyafan,

What cost will we have to split? I will more than likely get access to the roller. So besides your gas, what else is there?

Got my fenders rolled and pulled today. Ended up pulling a lot cause that rolling tool is addictive lol. Lowered it another 1'' but I can go down another 1 or 1.5'' which I hope to do tomorrow.
