Ok, I gotta do some fender pulling and I really don't know how. Anyone care to share some info here, please?

Thanks in advance.

Myself and Rob240 just did this two days ago. Simply get the proper tool, (SPL parts rents a fender roller) and get a heat gun, run the heat gun up and down the outside and inside of the fender until it feels slightly more than warm to the touch. Then just follow the instructions. That's about it.

Wait...isn't that fender rolling? I actually need to pull the fender out. Will this tool also do that?

Thanks again!

What's the heat for and what is a fender roller?

Fender roller rolls the lip under the fender and smooshes it flat...creating more room for tire.

The heat is to keep the paint from cracking.

It "pushes" the fender out more as well. I have 17x9 FNO1RC's +20 4 lug that have 255's on them. I used the SPL roller and it gave me the extra fender room to make them fit right. It's just angling it right to give you the extra fender room. It will "pull" it like your thinking just from the inside. Does that make sense? Mine looks like the fenders were "pulled".

rolling flattens the inside

pulling flares the metal, like very small overfenders

Oh I just noticed where this was posted. Shouldn't this be in the suspension forum?

Ok kids, as promised:

Before using the tool:

Notice how much it sticks out!!

After, note this is a MINOR pull/roll because my paint is almost brand new, no point in screwing it badly.

Another shot from the side:

Hmmm...yours stick out almost as far as mine. Now I don't feel so stupid. I'm still in the air about these wheels. I may have to sell them...they're a tad bit blingy. (See "New kick fo' da' whip" post...)
