Sooooo my fenders have rust. I'm sure thats not an uncommin thing to hear about a 240.

But I would just like to know what you all have done about it.

I've been looking at ebay fender flares to go over them if I cut out the rust.

But i'd like to see some pics of your solutions and price.

I have been looking at these. Hopefully they'd stay on with some permanent adhesive? But I'd have to make sure allllll of the rust is cut out. I'm worried about how much these will cover and still be structurally sound. Cause I need to cut out about an inch or so of rust, and they are 3 inch flares.

I only need the back ones. So I'll probably be selling the other set.

They are fender flares for a Z. That car looks remarkably similar to a friend of mine's, same color, same wheels, same flares, his are just painted haha.

Here's what they look like painted.

The rusted fender car looks pretty good, it's different. Props on that.

Yea, i was looking for the zg fender flares myself... i just stumbled across a copy on ebay(whoa what a surprise!!) and was wondering if those were them. I've seen the one you posted before and i like it.

Now then, on to the OP. I'm pretty sure those flares are meant to be molded. At least I was under the impression they are. I'm pretty sure they require some cutting and fitting as well. That's why I'm going with the zg flare. Drill, rivet, paint, done.

But, anyways, take care of that rust!

Thanks Cris28! It's coming together.

And I took a look at those zg's. I like the look with the rivets. I have stock wheels though and they are gonna look super skinny with those on. Oh well. Good reason to get new wheels.

Anyone know where to get a good price on zg's? I'd rather get those then have to do any molding. My car has enough bondo and dent filler already.

that's where I'm ordering mine from... and yes, you're right, stock wheels and zg flares... goofy. time to upgrade!

oh, and here's a good guide on the install... the correct way!

http://classicdatsun.com/new/ZG-flares_inst.html although it's for a z, it still applies. good luck with it man.

Wow $200? That's insane. I'm gonna look around for some others. How do you think it would look with just the back flares put on, and let someone else use the other 2?
