FENDER DIFFERENCE 89-90 and 91-94

okay so it's been a long time since i hit up this forum....nice to see it seems to be going very well.

i used the search button of course...didn't find what i was looking for.

i have a 92 i need a new passenger front fender.....will a fender from a 89 work? the junk yard and the bodyshop's books both said no.....but the fender looks exactly the same. anyone here swapped fenders from a 89-90 to a 91-94 or vice versa?

It will work, but you need the lower piece on the front of it for it to be flush with the 91+ bumper IIRC.

yes that's right. it's a small piece, about 8" by 8"

thanks guys.......but could you be a little more specific?is this piece part of the 89 or 92 fender? i'm assuming the 89. inside of fender or outside? is the piece a sort of bracket?any specific would help thanks.

its a piece of your 92 bumper

This needs to be sticky'd. Alot of people ask how to swap the pignose for the chuki bumper, and they have no idea what the little 8" by 8" fender piece is.

this REALLY doesn't need to be stickied...imagine if every mudane little thing was stickey'd...there's already WAY too many of them up there...thats the point of **searching** to find out answers to questions, and now, here's a great answer! Thanks driftaholic:D

Sorry to steal your thread, but I think it has some relavance to it... I have an 89 and tangoed with an 18 wheeler. Would a 91-94 fender AND bumper fit on my 89?

Yes the 89/91 will swap. any fender from a S13 will swap with another S13. Only diffrence is that little peice everyone else talked about

right on ....i'll look for you......i drive a fastback (purple-blue) hopefully repairs will be done in time.......and i will be coming with a metallic deep red AE86 coupe.....so look for us.
