fel-pro valve gasket question

got it at auto zone today for 18 bux plus tax. box says not to use any chemical adhesive because it has "perma-dry ®©™." ppl are telling me to use rtv silicone gasket maker stuff, in which i have... what should i do?

Follow the gasket instruction except for one small detail...at the point where the little black half-circles meet the head.. RTV (Permatex Ultra-Black). And then a very small amount where the gasket meets the small half-circles. Particularly at the edges of the small half-circles.Remember not to over-torque the valve cover. You want to compress the gasket a small amount, not squish it.Be sure to clean both the head and valve cover gasket areas before using the new gasket.
