when im giving it gas, it really doesnt feel like im going anywhere, as i get into boost, the car doesnt pick up and go like it normally does. sometimes i can smell raw gas when im trying to boost....

sometimes it sounds like a machine gun when it hits 7psi. to be honest it feels like it used to when my old harness took a ****. **it is very intermittent, it seems to be when im only under 1/4 tank**

my cas timing is dead set 16*btdcplugs are gapped to .28all the wiring is brand new...Its not my clutch slipping, i know that, cuz it doesnt slip on take off, it does accelerate ect, just feels like im being held back

the other thing is that when i talk to heavy throttle, he tells me that when you do a boost leak test to block off the rubber iacv tube, cuz the throttle body will seal 100% and that yournot supposed to get any air coming BACK out the IACV pipe.

well when i put shop air to my intercooler system, i get air, flying back out the IACV pipe

Also I KNOW my alternator is going, my battery light comes on when i get on the brakes, or signal, or turn the headlights on, i have a new one coming. im curious if the lack of voltage could be causing my problem? im also going to put my battery back under the hood, mainly cuz its in the trunk...could that cause the alternator to work harder? this will be alt #2 (both jdm ones)

I used to have that issue with my old motor from time to time. The times I could replicate the issue usually happened after the motor had been at operating temp for a while, so I chalked it up to heat soak off my IC.

My bet is that since it's happening at 1/4 tank or less on you, your charge air temps are too hot for the gas to handle. Our cars really don't like to be ran below 1/4 tank and the pump can cavitate at that level and you'll see lean spots pop up in the power band.

My only solution I can come up with you for now is to just keep the tank full and see if you can make it happen again.
