I havnt been on this site for years :P My bad!

This is more of a question/advice from you guys. Anyone in America interested in an original JDM vert? I've exported JDM cars from canada in the past. I can only get legit paper work as parts only. With that said, its easy enough to get a kit title in some states or might be a better way to go since it is low production. Could get a classic exemption in some form or another. Something could always be done but I dont use this car anymore and thinking of selling. Nobody in Canada cares for it. It really just sits around doing nothing. Going to be 25 yrs old in a few yrs. It is an early 88 production

Question would be: Is it worth it trying to sell states side? And what is a ball park number you think you guys could put on it.

Here are some old pix. Some things that have changed: has a GTR grill. 5 lug with R33GTS25T brakes all around with e-brake crap, 17" wheels. Few other lil things maybe.

If I keep it i will actually do some engine work to it and a S15 front and widebody with pimpin wheels. But racing my ceffy will take up too much time to enjoy it anyways.

Much easier to just sell in Canada, 99% of people in US don't want to deal in illegal cars.

I've seen this car in real life here at the Calgary world of wheels car show, (if its the same one as I saw), its a beautiful car all around. I would keep it if I were you, there are not many around, specially in Canada. Whats your asking price???????

ya, it was at the wow. My brother wanted to take it for his club. He had a car drop out last min so he pulled it out of the garage and wiped the 2 years of dust off. Slapped on some silly nasty wheels on it and took it to the show.

As of now, the car market is crap up here. You can find Silvias and 180's for 4 grand if you look hard enough. most of the kids that bought these cars a few years back, their parents fronted the money. Now that times are not as good and money is tight for most people, the cars on the forums have brought the car market down by half. I've sold about a hundred RHD cars in Canada so I have seen the decline since the middle of 2007. Now its just a buyers market. I am inn the same boat. Just moved to Vancouver from Alberta and consolidating my car inventory. I just want my race car and maybe this Vert. I still have a 180SX race car that I had been trying to sell and getting offers for 5 grand. It's so silly.

At this point. I figured if I can get 10K cash for my convertible Id let it go. i have enough contacts and see them on yahoo auctions every now and then. If I had to replace it, I could if it needed to be done. Id like to finish my Cefiro for next race season and get more competitive.

If I cant see any reason to sell this Vert I will swap the drive train from my 180SX and all the cool bits from it, then sell the 180SX for 5-6K as that's the almost maximum price you can get for a 180SX that looks like a drifted race car. Then, the Vert will be worth at least 15K. I cant see too many people dropping that much on a old JDM car (even though it is what it is) so I might try to enjoy it for a while longer. Once its 25 yrs olf I can get classic car insurance and keep it insured for less than $12 a month :D there is a millage allowance but I don't think I'd even go over that.

Ya, the car market sucks up here I just sold my 240 in my sig after 2 months of trying for $3750, I wanted to shoot myself after, but needed the $ to get an suv for my wife since we are expecting a baby. Atleast I still have my vert, which has been my project for 3 years, so hopefully next summer it will finally be on the road.

Of course the market sucks up there. A lot more cars that peopel want coming in, supply is high therefore prices are lower.
