I bought a used aftermarket intake and I didn't have the MAF adapter. So, I purchased two that should fit, but I can't seem to find where this sensor should go. One of the adapters has a opening with a rubber plug in it that I believe I need to leave, but can't find anywhere for this part. it's on a '95 240sx SE. Any help is appreciated.

Looks like an air intake temp sensor, im not sure where youd put it, but i may just put it somewhere cool (keep it out of the engine bay if possible) and see if it makes any difference, i doubt it will.

Do you think I can take the rubber plug out of the MAF adapter and find a way to hold it in place there?

I suppose what you could do is cut the rubber plug so that it fits.. Either that, or drill a couple small holes and use a nut/bolt...

you can just have it chill outside, it's only for diagnostics.

I thought the ebay adapters would have a slot, but guess it doesn't. My injen intake had an adapter w/ a spot for it.

the adapter I bought was a universal one. I think Spectre, from Pep Boys, so it just had the grommet with the plug. I might try to fab something up if I get a chance. No one seems to have one for sale.

i took the rubber adaptor ring off of my air filter and cut a little slit big enough for the wire to fit in and put it back on the filter so it is just inside my air filter, that way the air still passes by it, if you get what i'm saying.
