In 2014, the G37 Sedan became Infiniti Q50. G37 Coupe and Convertible became Infiniti Q60 under Infiniti's new naming structure - Here's the place to discuss the Q50 and Q60!

Hi all,

I'm considering a Q50 or QX50 and wanted to get some opinions. I currently have a 2014 C300 and hate it. What I can't stand about it:
1) the interior is junk. When it's cold out and you run the heat, the plastic on the interior snaps, crackles, and pops like rice krispies.
2) the shifting is lazy; when you slow down and then get back on the accelerator, there's this long pause where nothing happens.
3) the satellite radio sound quality is truly awful; it's very garbled and distorted.

If things like this bother me, would I be happy with Infiniti? How well do they shift? Are they pretty free of creaks and rattles? Is the satellite sound quality good?

Thanks!

Mike

I'm not particularly a fan of how the Q50 shifts. You should definitely take it for a test drive and see if you like it though. It seems to hold a gear way too long for me.

^^^ +1

If you have the AWD you really need to get on it or it will really lag the shifts worse.
