I had one on my 1jz running 21psi and it was great.. It was a .68 rear housing.. 1jz is 2.5 so it shouldn't be that bad on a KA.. It wasn't that laggy on the 1j either. But if you want to make 300hp or something and planning on staying there i would get something smaller.. I think the turbo is good for more than 600hp or around there.

i plan on staying around 270 which i would guess would be around 6-8 psi daily, and have a boost controller to turn it up to 20 psi. i have a built motor so the power will be no problem. i would start hitting the danger zone if i hit anything to far past 600. which i dont plan on doing.
i know i might have a good bit of lag and it may make sense to go with a smaller turbo for my application, but i want to have a bigger turbo so that i do not have to run high boost for daily fun. but also have the option to fully utilize the beast i built : )
did you run 21 psi for a long period of time? about when did you start spooling and when did you have full boost at 21psi? did you ever have any problems with it?

You can get it a little cheaper here... http://www.extremepsi.com/store/custome ... 508&page=1

The SC series is old technology for PTE. For $900 you can get a HP6057 which will out spool the SC61 by 400-500rpm and make the same power. With either turbo I would go with the T4 .68ar turbine housing if you can go T4. If your mani is T3 only I would go with the T3 .82ar

Here is the link to what I would get....

The turbine and exhaust wheel are the exact same size as my holset HX40 PRO billet. Out spool a GT35r and make very close to the same power.

Get a rom tune not an AFC. I would just get a Holset HY35 and run 14-15psi with a good rom tune and some 550-720cc injectors.

This is what the HY35 can do on a stock S14 motor with a good rom tune at 16psi.... you really can't beat it. With some cams and meth injection you will be at the limits of the stock rods.
