Everyone,

I just purchased a 2008 Maxima SL. I love the car but I have some concerns with the CVT performance. The transmission seems to shift at low speeds into high gear, I understand that this is to increase efficiency and keep the engine at lower RPM's. However the issue I have is that when the the cvt is in high gear at low speeds theeir seems to be a vibration and low gurgling sound that is very annoying. Is their some sort of adjustment or is this something I have to live wiith? I commute in veery heavy traffic and this becomes extremely annoying to me. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

As I understand it, the CVT will learn your driving habits during the early miles and adjust. So if it feels a bit finicky at first, it's probably because it just hasn't figured out the sweet spot yet.
