No, the power brace takes the place of the stock tension rod brackets and the space that a tension rod support bar would. I have a power brace and it's beefier than the lightweight stock tension rod brackets, I noticed how easy they were to bend after I took them off. You can find knock-offs of those other parts on ebay and other performance websites. Some of the knock-offs are pretty good and some are not. I couldn't see paying $350 for a Do-luck floor bar so I got a knock-off and it does it's job.

I just installed NISMO power brace yesterday. It's something that I should have done a long time ago. It looks like they just welded the bar and square box thingy underneath to the stock parts and painted it in gray. That bar was really beefy though. I haven't had a chance to test drive it yet, but I've heard only good things about it. BTW, I have s13.

I put the Nismo brace and a set of Nismo tension control rods on at the same time so I can't say which of them made a bigger difference. I wish I had just installed one or the other so I could have judged for myself the difference in the performance of the car but I didn't. Nevertheless, after the install I noticed a big difference in the frontend performance. It felt much tighter and more manueverable.

I've got a S13 but I think that bar and the red bar on my car serve the same purpose. I read that the lower control arm bar, at least for the S13, doesn't really help much in terms of performance but I didn't realize that until after I bought it. I just figured that every little bit helps somewhere. I'm pretty sure it helps to stiffen things up back and down there though.

That's strange, they describe a strut tower bar but there's no way that blue bar could be a strut tower bar. Those blue ones on my car are Megan Racing toe control rods. I like them and I haven't had any problems with them.

I got the ladder bar or tunnel brace as some refer to it. I'd recommend getting one, it's great for chassis stiffening. I noticed a big difference in the chassis after I put that brace on. There was some extra vibration and noise in the cabin but that's one result of chassis stiffening, that means it's working. On the S13 this bar runs right under the transmission where the bell housing meets the engine.

I would like to have gotten the one on the back too but you have to mod the Do-Luck rear ladder bar by cutting parts of it off to get it to fit on the S13. I'm not gonna cut up a $250 Do-Luck bar. I read that we have to mod them that way for our S13's because they were made for the JDM cars and there's something different about the rear ends. Don't know if this is true but I read it and saw pictures of what a guy had to do to get that bar on. JSpec won't even sell them to you unless you come to their shop and buy it there so they can install it. http://www.jspec.com/rearladderbar.htmlI do know that it's a straight bolt-on for the S14 though. Wish I had a S14.

Yes, you have to cut the corners to make it fit on s13. I've seen installation pics somwhere before. I'm really interested in all this chassis braces since I own s13 vert. Feels awful especially when I pass by railroad track. Whole car shakes like crazy. It's just terrible. BUT, I still like my vert.

So you saw them too. I wish I had saved the link to where I saw that guys install pics, it was very detailed.

I got a front and a rear almost just like it. You should save your money and get a better bar. I wish I had waited and got a one piece bar like the DC Sports. These other bars have to many flex points.
