Anyone used these before? Are these the stock tires for a 2006 M35(x)?

Mine came with them on the stock rims, and the plastic nubs are still on there, so they must not have been used much.

Also, how do I figure out how much I'm supposed to inflate them? The door says 33 PSI, when I checked them, from the dealership, they were all 40-42?

My 2006 M35 Sport came with two of these in the back (in the 245/40-19 size), while the front end had the stock Bridgestones. They are actually not a bad tire, but when pushed they do not hold on as long as the Bridgestones nor do they break away as progressively.

I'll be going with the 'stones all around when these are done, but they aren't as bad as I thought they were going to be...

as for pressures, go with 33 PSI. The dealers are notorious for two things vis-a-vis tires. Reading the sidewall and pumping them up to MAX pressures AND having CRAP tire guages that have been dropped a hundred times thus giving bogus readings.

If you slalom/race at all you'll want to pump them up to 40PSI; if you drag race, drop the rears to around 25 PSI -- BUT your tire pressure warning will pop up on your cluster screen (only for under-inflated - NOT over inflated, as it's only concerned with flats) When I take my car in for service I have the service manager notate "DO NOT MESS WITH THE TIRES!" Discount rotates them for free and also checks my pressures for me evey month or so.

The used 2006 M35x that I recently bought had what appears to be the original tires on it and they weren't Federal Super Steel. They are Goodyear Eagle RSA P245/45 R18. The car was originally sold by Hyatt Infiniti in Calgary.

I plan to run on them until I put winters on, and then maybe go for a summer tire in the spring.

No. Federal is some replacement tire that was used. I have never heard of them ...

What is the load index and speed rating (on the side of the tire) for these?

The mftr recommendation is 33psi, but this is always too low, imho. I'd suggest keeping tires at 36psi or so - this is a good compromise between too low (dangerous) and too high (harsh ride).

Always check cold (in the garage in the morning) before you have even driven one foot. And, use a good gauge.

I have run Federal tires on the Maxima a few times (though obviously not the particular tires this thread is about). I was happy enough with them to keep buying them for a while. They were quiet, smooth, and the all-seasons I used were good in the winter. The touring Federals I ran didn't come in V-ratings for my 15 inch wheels, though, so I ended up stepping up to a UHP Falken for the V speed rating.

I need some more info / clarification on these tires...

They say tubeless on the sidewall. I need to know if these are run-flat tires, how do I know for sure? I can't even find info on these on their website.

I want to put winters on my stock rims, but some places can't take the tires off if it is a run-flat or something.... help!
