I'm sure plenty out there already knew about this, but I just discovered it over the weekend, and thought I'd share in case anyone else hadn't yet realized the functionality.

The large button below the clock and nav screen also moves Left/Right/Up/Down by pushing it like a joystick. I never realized it, so now I have a shortcut to menu items.
Instead of scrolling numerous times, I can just push left or right to get where I need to be.

Hope this is useful to some.
