Favorite shocks???

i'm lookin to buy a set of shocks and struts in the next few days...going to go for the cheaper performance but i am not sure which are reliable..or good. I have my eyes on KYB GR-2's....but does anyone have opinions or recommendations?

Koni yellows if you're looking for shocks. No doubt in my mind, one of the best shocks you can get for your car.

In our world brand name is everything and quality doesn't come cheap. If you want true reliable performance you'll have to spend some money. Normaly I'd recommend Apex'i but I don't even think they sell shocks (only coil-overs) and they're not cheap. Tein sells a coil-over kit for 750$ (you can surely get it cheaper). It's more than 3 times the price of your shocks alone but it's quality you can trust and they're adjustable too. If you plan to upgrade your suspension later you might as well do it now, you'll save money in the end.

i wouldnt plan on lowering your car with Gr-2's, they are pretty much stock replacement. Koni yellows ive heard are awesome, agx's are pretty nice as well.

GR-2's are just factory replacement. If you plan on lowering they will blow, they arn't that much stiffer than stock. I say KYB AGX adjustable dampers. Also Koni Yellows.

KYB no likey the drop. Anything over 1.5 down and they crap out . Their reps will tell ya the same. Sportlines on my ex's civic ate AGX shocks like wheaties. ( Warrantied out about 5 sets.) Koni or Tokico play nicer.

Stay away from the Gr-2's, I have AGX with H&R sport springs and the car handles great. Its just over an inch lower and I love it.
