As far as British musicians go, Elton John might be my favorite. I can listen to him anytime, anywhere, in any mood. Well, I can only handle so much Crocodile Rock...

I hate anything psychedelic / hard to understand.

I like TRUE musicianship.

BTW, I'm a Queensryche fan.

3 classically trained guitarists, one of whom is out of Juilliard, and a singer with a 4-octave range (rare in male vocalists) and a background in opera and music theory qualifies as TRUE musicianship.

Koo-koo-ka-choo don't mean crap to me.

Wow, not sure I can choose a favorite. Revolver and Abbey Road are both awesome albums all the way through, and the White album too. I really don't even have a fav album, let alond a fav song. On another note, someone tried to tell me the other day that the Beatles were just stoner music... wtf. Sublime is stoner music :pface

this thread is awesome. as an avid guitarist and lover of all things rock and roll, i would say the beatles are one of the greatest bands ever, along with old metallica, queen, zep, acdc, skynrd, g n r, hendrix, deep purple, and of course srv (one of my 4 axes is a fender srv strat)

as far as the beatles, definitly "as my guitar gently weeps" and although its not technically the beatles, band on the run, by john lennon and wings.

and queensryche is awesome
