Fav. Anime?

I'm bored and looking for a new anime to buy. Thus far my collection includes:

A far as my favorite, I have to say that for series it is Naruto. So damn funny. Or mabye Gundam SEED. CGI Mechs own. OVA it HAS to be FLCL. I can watch that all day long (and I usually do) And for movie/short film I am in love with Voices of a Distant Star. I cry every time I watch it...it is just breath taking. (Sounds like a chick, I know) The cool part is that one guy wrote, directed, produced, and animated it himslef. Pretty bad a$$ IMHO. Anyway, list your collection/favs too. I have a Hastings gift card that I need to spend.

Your collection is nearly identical to my own...

Voices from a Distant Star was very impressive for one guy with a G4. Fortunately I heard it's the first OVA in a running series.

Tough to pick a favorite - Wings of Honneamise, Ninja Scroll and Yamato season 2 are probably the top 3. Initial D was good also.

Ninja Scroll is classic haha...one of the first anime movies that I have seen. Um..I have also watched Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, and Spriggan...those were decent.

As far as SERIES go I watch Naruto and Full Metal Alchemist (both recommended.) Hey Rico if you have a cable connection, you can get the episodes online via Bit Torrent, get the experimental build. full metal panic - if you love mechsmacross - any of them, old school mechsnaruto - read the manga, a lot faster

dangaio - mechs that form into bigger machineguyver - crazy bio booster armorgolden boy - close to hentai (no nudity), BUT HILARIOUS only 6 epsshaman king - not the one of fox... damn us try to americanize it

I thought akira was pretty good... but if you want something funny... you need GOLDEN BOY!

neon genesis evangelion (weird but the animation and everything is awesome...IMO the creator tried to get a lil too deep on this one)initial Dsaint sieya (not great but it was a childhood fav.)

crzycav86 - golden boy is awesome... which girl did you like the best ???

anyone ever watch 'youre under arrest' ? its like 6 episodes. the captain of the police force drives an NSX HAHA. theres also a lancia delta that pops up later... the intro is the best bc of the cars, haha.

OH!!! thats what i forgot. TRIGUN !!! hes so stupidly funny !!!

Nobody has even mentioned GTO?!?!? C'mon. Great Teacher Onizuka.What a great series!

Not even Mr1der mentioned it which is funny, since I get a mental image of Onizuka everytime I try to picture him.....

Lets see what else hasn't been mentioned? -Macross Plus. -Tenchi Muyo OVA's with new ones on the way from Japan. -Beserk is a awesome show. -Got Helsing as a present, seems okay but there isnt much out as of yet. Lots of old school ones Yu Yu Hakusho and Ranma, etc...

I would have mentioned it. Awsome series indeed. Good taste in anime

And yes the chick with the bike is the best in golden boy.

Yeah I am a bit of a fan. Favorite series is tough to say. Some of my favorites are Martian Successor Nadesico, Excel Saga, and Sorcerer Hunters I found eve to be good but way too cionfusing in the end. This is the biggest argument for the entire series.

I forgot that I have the Battle Stage. And how could I freaking forget that I have the boxed set of Evangellion! I watched half of it Saturday. I also have Mononoke. I need to get the boxed set of Bebop. And FMP is bad a$$.

Love Hina was a good time but it got iritating at times. All in all I loved the sntire series. Speaking of sports anime Princess Nine was excellent.

I ued to own Hellsing, but after I finished it, I knew that I would never want to watch it again. It was not that good. MAcross Plus...I think that is one I need to buy. I used to have a crappy .avi of it, and I loved it. Beserk is pretty good, and Arc the Lad was cool. One that I never liked was Visions of Escaflowne. Kinda annoying to me.

And how could I forget about Iria Chronicles and Gun Smith Cats. Both cool. Oh yeah....Gunnum Battle Angel Altia...good stuff.

Hellsing was great..if it were a movie, that had a sequel. The way it ended just seemed like they ran out of money/time so they threw up a couple lines of text and some unsubstantiated ending scene. I start to giggle just thinking about how poorly planned that was.

(I know the manga is way longer and whatnot, but they need to anime-ize that sh1t.)

Oh, and they should animate the rest of the Berserk series because again, the ending was very unsatisfactory. =\
