I see this beauty at a gas station just inside texas. I just had to take a picture.

4 hours after we left, we finally arrive at the drift showoff. The parking lot was filled with fartcans, wings, and carbon fiber... I saw about a dozen 240s in the parking lot as well.

We pay the $15 to get in, and the first thing I see is:

Easymmkay's car. That thing look extremely nice in person...

We walked over to the drift track, and started watching pratice runs

Corrvette z06 and mazda RX-8

350z

That was fun for about 5 minutes, most of those people sucked... but then... A guy from Faulken came out. He kicked ***!

Hes about 6 feet from a concrete barrier going sideways, kickass.

Right after that pictues, he drifts right in front of us, and covers everyone in rubber, dirt, and other ****...

Well after that, the other drivers went back out, boring...

So I went and looked around...

That is a Honda Civic.... with s15 front conversion! ****ing gross, I wanted to kick the **** out of that car...

Well, the main competition was starting, i got a good spot next to the barrier, well, it was good til the barrier broke, and I got blamed for it...

Same drifting stuff, I watched for about an hour and a half, same stuff, boring...

Extremely boring...

So I left, off to the Houston Autoshow!

We get to the reliant center, and parked our Q45 next to a Ford Lightning SVT, nice truck.

We go inside, and head over to mazda. The Mazdaspeed Miata MX-5 was there, nice car. The intercooler though... was a joke:

We walk around abit, looking at cars...

SL55

Ford GT

Cadillac Cien

Saleene S7!!! That car was so ****ing awesome...

Ferrari... Beautiful

Loads of other cars were there, I took pictures of most of them. I took over 150 pictures that day :ylsuper

I just don't have a place to host them all

Heading home...

I had a great time overall, but I was abit disappointed with the drift showoff... but it was still fun...

I might get around to posting some more pictures later

(pretend that I spelled everything correctly)

btw: the guy in the grey shirt and grey hat you see from time to time is dookie

Yeah, that was a real fun day. And yes folks, that is an El Camino in the drift event. He was pretty good too. The guy in the rx-8 blew ***. My dad, who happened to be our mode of transportation, got tired so we missed basically all of the pros, except for the red Falken 180sx. Well worth our 4 hour drive :ylsuper

Sorry that I only own a $100, 2.0 megapixel digital camera with practially no zoom capabilities...

Also, I had to hold down the button for like 3 seconds before it would take the picture... so I had to photograph things before they happened...

I think I did a good job with the pictures... all 155 of them...

Hows that for looking stupid? :D

Thats a Chevy SS, 430hp 430 torque, with a displacement on demand feature, cylinders activiate and deactivate based on acceleration... I'd drive it

Yeah, to be truthful, Pills is afraid to drift, says its not his cup of tea and that his car will explode when if he tries, I sorta believe him being that his clutch has started to slip, at least thats what he says. Me ,on the other hand, I love drifting, I do it every now and then, I'm on my 2nd pair of tires in the past 3 months. I thought a good bit of those guys were good, espically the BMW and the El Camino :ylsuper

p.s.: Our parents wouldnt let us bring our 240s, being we are under 18, and they dont trust our driving skills.

I suck at drifting, and I know that, so judging by my own crappiness I think I could tell if they were good or not :D

I guess drifting is just not my thing...

Exactly HKchick..

people who don't drift or have never tried should not say anyone sucks!!!

go out there and try to drift... see how hard it is...

AND EVEN THEN... don't come on here and say every one sucked..

atleast they were out there... trying!!!

Well, unless you want to be a hypocrit, you can never judge someone that is doing something that you have never done... thing is... I bet you do it all the time... so don't preach to me...

Now lets try to get back on topic if its possible...

well basically i just think in order to have a say about someone like American Idol, you gotta have credibility, and in order to have creditbility, you gotta have some sort of eduction on that field or have experiences.

i just think that in order to be good at something, one has to practice, practice alot, and that to me, is what needs to be taken into consideration on whether or not that drifter really sucks. yes the contest has standards and subjective opinions both to base on, but when the judges have credibility, whereas us, as oridinary people who occasionally drift or not drift at all have little to no credibility to judge someone, you can have an opinion, but as to say one sucks at something that you dont even do, it's not so respectful

my head hurts...

drifting is amusing, but I like the part before you slide where you hear the tires trying as hard as they can to not lose it, that rocks.

getting *** around nose sideways is fun though, and I'd probably try a drift event even though I'd suck at it

I'd love to be in a drift event as well, but sadly, I have no money to buy spare tires, let alone rims for them. :(
